Hello everyone, joined here a few months back researching and learning. A lot of good info on here, thanks for that. Bought a stock 2017 FZ10 with only 1900 miles on it. Upgrades/mods have begun, within reason until the warranty runs out this summer. Been through most of the sport bikes throughout the years, with the last two bikes being FZ1’s (2006 with 87k miles and a 2014 with 40k). Looking forward to being part of the forum.

Welcome! I bought my 2019 new in August and have about 1400 miles on it. Currently have it torn down for a color wrap. Also adding frame sliders and a windscreen. Got my ECU flashed too so I can't wait to ride it!

My last FZ1 I installed a fuel controller, it helped smooth it out some but nothing like a compete flash will do.

I've had Power Commanders on other bikes - the one I had on my TLR I had custom mapped at a dyno and it was a big difference. These bikes are so choked off from the factory though and run so lean the on/off throttle response is terrible and there's a big dip in the curve between 5-6k RPM. From what I've heard the 2WDW flash is about a 17HP increase at the crank over stock with a cat delete. Spring can't come fast enough lol

So far I’m pretty happy with it getting rid of the on/off issue. True test will be next week while lane splitting on my way to work. One of the few good things about Cali, I ride all year.

I've also heard good things about the G2 and then people also say the tune alleviates it. I'm going to ride it with the tune for a bit and if I still don't like it I'll get the G2. On my TLR I had a 1/5th insert that actually made the throttle open faster and it really woke that thing up.

A 2WDW ECU flash should be your next mod for sure. Makes these bikes infinitely more enjoyable. I bought my 2017 FZ-10 in January 2020 as a brand new leftover and I've put just over 5,000 miles on her so far. Welcome aboard, glad to have you.

Waiting for extended warranty to expire this summer before doing anything major.
