I was going to buy this YamaCool but was not sure if it is the right type or if that's even enough of it. I am wanting to change my coolant because every now and then when im riding and come to a stop, It will smell like(best way i can describe it) burnt metal. Not like super strong, but sometimes I notice it.

Have you identified the problem?

How old is the bike? How many miles on it? Coolant change is a typical maintenance item in the manual (like brake fluid). Coolant doesn't smell metallic though, it smells sweet. Maybe it's road grime burning onto the head pipes?

I would check the coolant level and possibly bleed the system before changing the coolant. You can also monitor the water pump when the bike is running. If your coolant pump has failed, you will start to get coolant leaking out of a week hole
But you have a very non specific issue that could be something else or nothing at all.

Im not sure why it smells like that. I was thinking of adding coolant or changing it, but changing and draining the coolant sounds difficult and I'm not sure id be able to do it correctly. Is coolant supposed to be circulating through this section at all times? Also, this coolant window is very hard to see through, has anyone seen a more transparent replacement for sale anywhere?

You're describing the coolant overflow I believe and I'd say it shouldn't be "flowing through there at all times."
Try shining a light in there and it's relatively easy to see the level.
Try Engine Ice or Toyota pink coolant.

I can see the coolant from that picture. It's at full.
You can try bleeding air out of the system. On a cold bike, open up the radiator cap and start the bike. When the coolant reaches the top and starts to overflow, put the cap back on. Before this happens, squeeze the coolant hoses and tilt the bike once or twice to push air bubbles out of the hoses and any that might be on the opposite side of the radiator.
But once again, you have a very non specific issue here that it's hard to just point the finger at the coolant. So I'd maybe keep monitoring it and keep looking over your bike before and after you ride it, recording anything weird.
