Hello all,
I have bought 2017 Mt10 with 0 miles on it, directly from the yamaha dealership in Beirut, the dealer had an oil change however while I am driving I have the following issues with the bike, thus I need your kind inputs:
1.At low rpm and between the 1st and 2nd gear the bike shutter as if it going to shutdown so I engage the clutch and increase the throttle, this have been occurring at low rpm mostly inside the city, the engine sounds weird as if it is misfiring or something,
2. The throttle is very jerky regardless of the mode I am in, my bike comes with modes 1,2,3 not a, b or standard.
3. During shifting the bike misses neutral when I am parking to fill fuel so I had to turn off the bike and put it back in neutral.
Pleaee help me in regards of the above, I have contacted the dealer and demanded to send the bikback for them to have a look at it, one mechanic at Yamaha told me that is how cross plain engine functions, but it seems not normal..
Your inputs are greatly appreciated
Alex

All normal. The engine doesnt like running st below about 2500 rpm, so when you decelerate to an RPM below it, you need to slip the clutch a bit until you can ride at above 2500 RPM. It isnt a Goldwing, its not made for very low city RPMs Youll get the hang of finding neutral, its very sensitive, which is good since you rarely misshift it into neutral The bike is geared and tuned to have a very agressive throttle, you can dial it down with a power commander, but personally, once i got used to it, im loving it. Wheelies on demand.

Can confirm - the shuddering is normal at low speed and low RPM.

1. The bike wants to be put out of its misery at low RPM... you'll learn to handle it 2. ECU flash can solve some of it 3. This happens to me when oil is getting old...

My 2021 with 0 miles did this. I pulled over halfway home to make sure there were no parts falling off lol. There is a rock tumbler vibration under load at low RPM. After doing some research it seems this is part of the cross-plane experience. Itβs smooth as butter up in the revs tho. I also think it has loosened up and will continue to do so with more miles π
