Hi I'm Ross, I live in Warwickshire in England UK. I had 1 or 2, 2 stroke bikes when I was a teenager - back in the day when you could ride a 250cc on learner plates! I got back into biking relativey recently in 2008 when I passed my 2 part test, riding a Honda NSR 125. I realised then that I no longer desired that frenetic experience of the peaky 2 stroke power delivery. Since passing I have migrated to larger & larger four stroke V twins. I also realised a while back that my wrists could no longer take the strain of riding sports bikes, so my Aprilia Falco had to go. I have been riding nakeds since, with a Triumph 1050 Speed triple thrown into the mix a one point. I've had a couple of Buells (XB12s & XB12scg) the last of which I sold late this summer. Unfortunately I need to operate a one bike in one bike out policy to fund the next bike! I have just recently put a deposit on an new MT10, although I am not intending to take delivery of it until the new year. I'm in no rush as they are now starting to grit the roads, so I wouldn't want to get it messed up. Well I've rambled on enough, I guess I need get down to reading all the posts of experienced MT10 owners as this will be the 1st 4 cylinder bike I have owned!

Welcome! You're going to love the MT. The power delivery is just silly. Highly recommend an eCU flash (even with stock exhaust) as the ECU runs lean for emissions and as a result the throttle is pretty twitchy with a decent flat spot at about 5k.

I think you will love the MT10, especially the ergos. First time I sat on one I was hooked on the riding position.....and then there is that AWESOME crossplane 4 engine!

New to forum buying a 2020 mt 10 this week , just sold my fz09 and hope I did the right thing I loved my 09. Awesome! Interested in hearing how you like it vs the MT-09. I rode all three (07, 09 and 10) back to back at a Yamaha demo day and that's what sealed the deal on the 10. I was leaning towards the 09 until the ride.

Im glad to hear that really , I will for sure give some feedback on my thoughts but Im sure like you its going to be my new favorite bike. past 2 1/2 years Ive had the 16 duke 690 and just sold a 17 fz09 loved both of them accept for the freeway cruising Duke was to light the 09 was a lot better so 10 should even be that much better with less vibration when I do the freeway drone getting to the twistys it will be a weekend fun get away bike.

I'm not rewriting that all again, picked up a used 20 MT10 on Sat went on a ride on Sun and wow love the bike. I dont like the Delkevic mid pipe and 8" can it's just a little to loud for my taste , sound great looks great just to much for my ears. I have a SENA 20 and listen to music so no ear plugs for me I wear them at work all day . Maybe I continue this on the right post.

If you type in the comment box at the bottom you need to click on the "Post Quick Reply" button on the bottom left (dark blue). Clicking the "Reply" button on the right (light blue) will open in a new text box with all the formatting stuff. It's kinda confusing - I've hit "Reply" on accident before. Pretty annoying. If you do hit the light blue "Reply" then just click the dark blue "Create Post" on the bottom right.
