Hi,
I was wondering what jacket do you wear when riding the FZ-10. I was looking for a mesh jacket for next season. Any suggestions? I'm not looking for something that match my bike color or anything. Right now, I was looking into the Klim induction jacket or the Rev'it Tornado 2. The first one seems to have great protection and the last one is more a 3 seasons jackets. Since I have time till next springs, I was curious to know if there's some others I should look into.

I wear my Alpinestars GP-R leather jacket when I go out for a more spirited ride because I zip it up to my leather pants for 2-piece suit. In the summer, when I'm just out commuting I wear my Dainese Air Drake mesh jacket. The Dainese is just okay. The arms are really long but the torso is kind of short so its not the best style-wise I think.

I have the Klim APEX and love it. Expensive but worth it. Great protection, triple layers of gortex and tons of vents.

Does the Klim Apex get sometimes too warm when it's hot outside?

It can , but it also has a ton of zippered vents all over. It's not a mesh summer jacket, but it will actually protect you if you wreck where most mesh jackets melt right into your skin while sliding. Ouch! With the reputation of Klim for quality safe jackets, I was seriously looking at the Klim Induction, which is a Mesh jacket. They brag about their mesh technology being 750% stronger than polyester or nylon Mesh. And stronger implies tensile strengths, not necessarily abrasion resistance. I don't really want mesh cooking into my skin as I slide if it comes to that. I will seriously look into that Klim Apex! Seems like a good one.

Most of the time i ride with an Alpinstars GP-R perforated leather jacket mated to the Alpinestars GP leather pants via the 360 degree zipper. I also have an Alpinestars GP+Air mesh jacket for the very hot days,but i realized that the perforated leather let the air go through and cool you down just as well, so i use it only for short local runs. For cooler weather,i use an Alpinestars messenger jacket(textile) with some Alpinestars Ast-1 textile pants,and when its cold i have a Toumaster heated jacket liner and heated gloves liners i use under the textile gear.
Minimal gear i ride with is helmet,gloves,jacket and boots. I commute to work and do short local stuff in jeans,gut other than that i will also wear motorcycle pants.
