Hey guys, I just got a 2018 Yamaha MT-10 and I'm looking to do the R1 MC upgrade. I already checked most of the threads but I have a few questions if you can help.
I'm from Portugal so I can't buy the stoltecmoto kit... so what parts do I need exactly?
This is the list I have so far:
1. Yamaha R1 master cylinder, 2CR-2580A-00-00 2. Lever bolt, 2CR-2589F-00-00 3. Do I need the Brembo reservoir kit ? Does anyone know the part number of this? 4. What else?
I'm also upgrading the brake pads with brembo pads as I've used them in previous bike and always liked the feeling.
Thank you, G

Welcome to the forum!!!!
You definitely need a reservoir solution. The Brembo is the easiest but expensive. If you get a used R1 Master that comes with the reservoir, you could use something like a ladybird mount instead (that's what I did). The Brembo reservoir should be a pretty general part that fits most bikes since it mounts onto the bolt that tightens the MC to the handlebars so I don't think you need a specific part # specific to our bikes.
I've heard you could use the stock brake lines but I didn't. Seems like a tight fit because the connection for the R1 master is a bit further away than the stock MC. I got steel braided brake lines that were a bit longer.
There's also a known issue in which the brake light will be delayed slightly when pressing the brake. There's a few things you can do to mitigate this that are detailed in Stoltec's build thread. Basically either internally modifying the brake switch or filing down the nub that makes contact with the brake lever.
That's all I can think of right now.

I thought Nick shipped internationally....at least the Brembo pads will make things much nicer to start. I've done it to three bikes, including the 10, and love the feel.
