Looks like the big focus is on the MT-09 line in 2021, incl the SP for the US market.

It is a bit of a let down considering that everyone was hyped for the gen 2 MT-10 to be introduced with facelift and fresh electronic goodies. Maybe next year?
Now I can go buy another MT-10 without regret. Been MT-10less for 3 months and its horribly depressing haha!

From a chat I had with a friend who owns a local Yamaha dealer he's not expecting a new 10 at all. He's expecting the 10 to get dropped and them to only have the 07 and 09, hence all the crazy upgrades for the 09. The 10's weren't hot sellers at all. They finally sold a brand new 2018 a couple months ago.
I wish they'd update the 10 and bring the SP here to the US. I would have bought one in a second if they did. Instead I picked up a leftover 2019 for a steal.

That does make sense. The facelift is what I expected them to do to see if it helped sales any before discontinuing the model but its a ma$$ive investment for yamaha to do so.
More people would buy it if they got to ride it first. Its an incredible machine.
