Has anyone punched a couple of holes in the gas tank filler neck to get a little more capacity. I've seen this mod on the MT 09 forums.

I’ve seriously considered taking a pair of snips and cutting out as much as I could but with my luck I’d drop metal into the fuel tank.

If you overfill it it'll most likely all come out of the overflow hose (or into the EVAP canister if it's got it) and you'll lose it anyways.

Ok, so this is a typical mod on other Yamahas. I just wanted to know if anyone has any actual real experience doing it. I'm not looking for opinions.

Got a link? Very curious about it. I can't see how gas wouldn't start to overflow into the overflow tube.
