Hi all,
Recently noticed that, while sitting on the bike, having to push it backwards while in Gear 1 feels tough. While being in Neutral and doing the same motion, is so much easier. Feels like the clutch is engaged even when lever is pulled in fully.
Also, having the bike on a paddock stand, put the bike into 1st, clutch fully pulled in, and the rear wheel is spinning. Is it normal to have clutch drag? Ive attached a video I found.. exactly the same issue.

A little bit of wheel spin is perfectly normal if the bike is on a stand and put in gear with the clutch pulled in. If it's dragging to the point that it moves the bike when not on the stand or you feel the rpms drop when you place it in gear then you need to tighten the slack on the clutch lever. When cold the clutch will drag a bit more than once warm.

First off, be careful running the bike in gear on paddock stand. It could cause an error code that requires a dealer visit to clear
As for the issue, I would adjust your shift linkage and clutch cable. It can be an issue with the shift linkage being in a configuration causing hard shifts

Should i tighten the slack? As my clutch lever free play is according to manual now

Am aware that friction may be one of the reasons on the wheel spin, but how fast should the wheel be spinning? Mine is currently spinning rather quickly as what the video is showing..

Probably loosen I would say. You usually should have a little bit of a dead zone before the clutch starts to disengage.

Yes, you can try tightening the slack but leave at least 1/8-1/4 when looking at the lever from the front of the bike. You should always have some slack. If you loosen it, it will drag more than it does now.
