Do not buy a FTECU autoblipper if you're in Canada. According to 2wheeldynoworks: The issue has nothing to do with our mapping, as we've now replicated the same issue for another Canadian customer with completely stock mapping in place. We've contacted FTECU multiple times now about this issue. It seems specific to the Canadian serial numbers ONLY, and ONLY occurs when the Autoblipper is enabled via the FTECU software. It looks like the issues revolves around gear position sensor reference voltage variations from the Canadian ECU's vs the USA/EU ECU's. They're still working on a fix, last we heard. -2WDW I have called ftecu 6+ times now starting from april. Every time I have to repeat the problem to them as if it's their first time hearing about it and they never gotten back to me.

My FTECU autoblipper never worked on downshift (support never really cared), and even upshift stopped working after a year.
Translogic unit works really well on the other hand.

Did you install the Translogic unit as it came or did you have to fine tune it on a dyno? I want to get that but don't have access to a dyno so would only get it if it's plug n play.

I've had the Translogic installed for almost 1.5 years and haven't adjusted anything on it. A pro on a dyno could improve on the settings, but it's already great! I "feel" that it shifts smoother on the most sensitive throttle map, which is fine as that's what I prefer.

And this is why I'm want a Translogic autoblipper over the FTEcu unit. The former is a stand-alone unit that can be removed if you sell the bike. It also doesn't have the silly licensing that FT does.

It worked really well out of the box and I feel the shifts are very smooth as is. The install was more involved than FTECU but absolutely no regrets.

Plenty of people are experiencing problems with them. I still haven't gotten a response for my unusable sixth gear. 75% of the time there is a very long delay (1+ second) between attempting to press the clutch peddle and the blipper allowing the downshift. Shifting from third to second sometimes causes the bike to double blip which is dangerous.
Go with any other company. Probably one of my most disappointing purchases to date
