Givi tank ring - bf05 vs bf27 wtf...

I purchased an uglybros tank bag, looks like a rip of the givi 3l. After much deliberation I purchased it even though I knew they’d just end up sending me what I thought would be the wrong ring. Low and behold it came with the bf05 tank ring which actually fits fine, however all the research leading up to the purchase suggested the bf05 was only compatible with the mt03, mt07, mt09, a bunch of other Yammys but not the mt10. The mt10 requires the bf27.

installed and everything appears ok. Am I missing something here...? The ring came in a sealed bag with a bf05 sticker on it, it also says uglybros on it?

Specifically says it doesn’t fit my my-10.

They look the the same but they state the bf05 is not for the MT10.

Could it possibly be that this uglybros brand has released a part with the same number as givi but one which actually fits all the mt’s. Seems a bit odd even Yamaha sells a different ring for the 10.

Can anyone tell me why this seemingly well fitting part isn’t deemed suitable for my MT10?
