What’s up guys, just wanting to record a bit of my tire experience with Michelin. My apologies I screwed up and forgot to record at what mileage I installed my Road 5 tires tho, I want to say it was 6k Miles since the Stock Battlax was trash within the first 2k miles and some new Pilot Road 3s that I had left over gave me about 3k. I had not adjusted my suspension at all until the Road 5s so I think the stock setup and me not being used to the power was killing my mileage. The bike would squirm around under me and I hated the stopping power either of these provided. I do tend to power out of the Corners so it took me a while to get used to the throttle, but these tires made it a hundred times easier to maintain traction on exits. They have been really great tires and I enjoyed them throughout the year. Seriously, I don’t think I ever felt unsafe or uneasy with the grip of these tires even when I took them out in the cold and/or rain a couple of times which I have to admit I was never a huge fan of until recently. I even turned the traction control off one rainy day and decided that would be where I'd learn more rolling burnout control with these and I’ve got to say they were perfect and was so much fun. I believe I got a little over 3500 out of them since I’m at +9500 miles now. They’re not entirely done so I’m going to video the burnout later hopefully and will try to post it. Never tracked them, I'm mostly canyon riding and the occasional straight 45-1hr long rides getting out to the good windy roads and back. Plus we all know well that this beast doesn’t care to keep its front wheel down much so wheelies do happen often. Anyways, here are pictures of my first, rainy, and last ride with them. the two pictures directly above the last are of the current condition of my Front tire. Plus my new Power 5s that I’m hoping to have installed Saturday. -Jeezus
