Has anyone here gotten the extended warranty and had to use it? It seems like a good deal at $690 for and additional 4 years of coverage (5 years total) I’m seriously considering it and I still have until January to decide. Thanks!

There was a poll done earlier this year and looks like the members were half and half. fz10.org/thread/2891/buy-yamahas-yr-contract-fzI personally did not. Bikes seem fairly reliable and with a ECU flash, that eliminates the likelihood of being covered for something catastrophic like an engine failure. |

My dealer knows about my flash and said they’re good with it. If something fails they’ll flash it hack to stock before submitting a claim. They even pulled the ecu and exup servo and cables for me while the bike was there for its first service
