Hi all,I've just sold my mt09 and I'm now looking at getting an mt10. There's just one thing that's kinda bugging me about the styling of the bike which is the tail light and area behind the seat in general that in my opinion just doesn't look finished off properly.
What I was wondering is if there is any aftermarket tail lights available that have a nicer tidier look to them similar to like how the Rizoma tail light looks on the first generation mt09. So basically a light that doesn't stick out so much and more or less looks like its meant to be there unlike the original light.
Obviously it's just a tail light and it's not a deal breaker on whether or not I end up with a mt10 or not but I'm just curious if there's anything out there aftermarket as I haven't found anything on my searches at all.

I've seen a couple people do the r1 tail swap on the fz-10

I have to say the tail grows on you. If you keep your bikes very clean, the tail light looks pretty good from behind since the back is pretty rough in general, the TC lines going thtough there, the shock and some metal box i dont know whats job is all exposed along with some metal screws ans such. The tail light kind of finnishes the look once you see it in person from straight behind.

I have a friend with a Tuono 1100 factory and another with a 1290 Superduke and I cant help but think how sexy they look compared to a mt10 rear end. I do think they look much better with a rear seat cowl so I think I'll just have to get a cowl once I get the bike and get over it 🤷♂️

I like the cleaned up look even though it is still a bit squared off look instead of curvy or angular. I have Tracer pillion pegs and a comfort seat that I put on when my wife wants to ride, takes less than 5 minutes.

I bet a tail tidy of some kind will make things more palatable, but either way, you're facing forward...most of the time.

I agree the rear end for me was definitely the “ehh” looking part of the bike and the rear blinkers are so crappy.
I did the customs integrated taillight and the vagabond fender kit
Cleans it up a lot

I used a simple tail tidy myself, but wish we could use the integrated tail light stuff here. Of course the pic loads badly

A fender eliminator or tail tidy as we in the UK call them tidied the rear up. While I still have the OEM indicators I've applied a smoked tint to them (you can see one with and one without in the pic) to match the smoked Blaster X tail light. While the Balster X has integrated indicators I don't use them on their own as it's nod to the police over here to getting pulled.
