Get an H2, have Brocks flash the ECU. See blue lights. Twist your wrist. Disappear. Just kidding of course. I’ve never run and wouldn’t if they had me. But I may or may not have passed a couple on back country roads, going the opposite direction, at go to jail speeds. Not sure if they turned around, but didn’t stick around to find out, hypothetically of course. Around town and in traffic I keep it calm. Yeah, Never run. There's no such thing as "Felony Speeding" (unless there's a death involved) Usually!!! Evasion IS a Felony....... I was with this group in 2012 when the first three riders passed a LEO around the 4:30 mark...... Yes, that was a defining moment........

You have to be pretty unlucky to get one, much less 2, but getting caught speeding in virginia can be pretty expensive.

Yep. Any radar detector becomes a ticket notificator. Ha ha. Hey, out of curiosity, what's the approx range of laser guns? Curious about that.
I like to speed, like probably everybody else here, but I always do it safely and responsibly. I have a V1 for my car, but have never used it on the bike. Since I typically only speed when I'm the only one on the road (that I can tell), I don't really need one. Plus that keeps me from trying to push my luck a little more . And the beauty of our naked bike is you feel the speed a lot more than on faired bikes, so you don't feel the 'need' to speed nearly as much. I still like to cruise around 90, but at least here in TX, I'm in the range of not being bothered (10 over... but maybe it's just 5???), especially being the only one on the road. I can pick cars up at 2,000ish feet. Motorcycles are smaller, have fewer reflective surfaces and are much harder to pick up even at closer distances. So what you’re saying is I need to remove the reflections off my bike? lol I do like those higher speed limits out in TX. I don’t know why more interstates aren't at 80mph everywhere. It’s proven that higher sped limits do not contribute to higher levels of accidents and with as safe as cars are today it’s a no brainer.

Black absorbs the light and doesn’t reflect nearly as well. Much harder to pick up with laser especially without a front plate.

Welp, so after talking too much in this thread my luck ran out last Saturday.
I was on my way home around dusk, not really riding that fast, just out cruising around. Was on a 1 lane (per side) road, that goes to 2 lanes for about a mile then back to 1 lane.
Decided to pass a string of about 8 or so cars in the 2 lane section and get out front before it went back to 1 lane. Hit a red light just before it went back to 1 lane. Looked in my mirrors and there was an unmarked Charger with the lights on. He must have been in the string of cars and I didn’t notice.
He was out of his car and pissed, didn’t want me to pull over had me shut off my bike right in the road. I think he was worried I would run. Had me go back and sit in the front seat of his car while he gave me my ticket. I was completely polite and cooperative. 96 in a 55. Said he could take me to jail but wasn’t going to. Sucks that I was literally only speeding for about 3 seconds, but good that I saw the light turning yellow so I held back some over what I probably would have done to make the pass. If not I would have been in triple digits for sure. But just happened to be right past the cop. Wasn’t speeding prior and wasn’t going to go crazy once I was around the cars either. I guess I know now why they were all going slow. Court date isn’t until September. I’ll get an attorney and see what they think they can do with it, and how bad it will likely be. Thankfully it was in Johnston County (country) and not Wake County (Raleigh), Wake is a bitch for speeding tickets. I’ve got an attorney picked out that came highly referred from a friend who has used him, got a 20 over ticket reduced to an improper speedometer violation. And lots of positive google reviews and a couple of his reviews seems like he’s helped with getting some bad tickets reduced significantly. Honestly with this one though, I’ll be happy just not getting a license suspension.
I’ve had good luck with attorneys and tickets before (dismissed or non-moving violations), but never anything this bad. Currently have one ticket in the past 4 years (and only other in the past 7 or so years was reduced to a “muffler violation“). Previous ticket was 59 in a 35 but got it reduced to 14 over and used my prayer for judgement to keep the points off my record and insurance, that was Wake County though and they don’t like to deal.

Ticket was resolved today, so figured I would update my post above.
Did a bit more research than normal when selecting my attorney along with some solid recommendations with favorable outcomes with “tougher” tickets. Appeared that he might have an in with the DA. When I first contacted him he said that he knew the trooper and would talk to him about my case next time he saw him. He got the 96 in a 55 reduced to 9 over (64 in a 55), with no points. Reckless driving charge was dismissed. And most importantly, no license suspension.
Cost was $300 attorney fee and $188 court costs/fees. No driving schools, etc. required. My court date wasn’t until September but glad he was able to get it resolved sooner.
I’ve been a proponent of getting an attorney for all traffic violations for a long time, but in this case it was a no brainer. The original charge on my record would have meant a likely license suspension and an astronomical insurance increase, with the possibility of many carriers not even considering me for coverage. Well worth the attorney cost.
