I’ve recently done a second valve clearance after my mechanic told me my recent valve clearance was done incorrectly causing a loss in power.
He did dyno for me, before the readjustment, the bike only puts out 109hp. After he re-did the valve clearance, it went back to 130hp.
But I notice something different this time round. During idle, when I do a quick rev, after the throttle was released, the rpm went below idle before climbing back up to idling rpm.
For example, idle was at 1200rpm, did a quick rev to 2500rpm, let go the throttle and it goes below 1000rpm, almost stalls, before going back up to 1200rpm.
And theres a sort of wheezing sound coming near the cam chain tensioner everytime I rev (I changed to MCCT way back).
What’s that mean?

Could be a disconnected vacuum line but that would probably cause an uneven idle as well but I’m not sure. I’d say if the problem developed after the valve adjustment take it back and have the dealer or mechanic sort it out. They obviously did something to cause the issue.

It was loose previously but it was tightened back before the valve clearance. Maybe it came loose again.
