Hi All, Just wanted to share a quick review of the oem tank pad sold by Yamaha; really poor quality unfortunately. 20 euros for a simple sticker... I expected that it would at least stick to the d*** tank but no. It started to come off the day my bike left the garage for the first time. Since it's Yamaha who's installed it I hope they will replace it for free. But in case somebody was planning on buying it you've been warned and btw three friends of mine have the exact same problem with theirs...

No issue with mine in nearly 12 months. The surface has to been cleaned thoroughly to remove any oily/grease residue, otherwise it won't stick.

Mine also came off the day I installed it.
That thing looked so crap on my black 10 I ripped it off right after sticking it down.

Mine came with one. The corners were comming off, took it right off because in my opinion it looks horrible.
I went the route of compounding and polishing the tank (it had been used for 5k miles when i bought it) and took the tank off. Brought it to a car wrapping shop and asked for a self healing protective film. Looks better, protects the whole tank and heals small scratches by itself when it gets a little warm (sunlight is more than enough).
Paid $100 for it, well worth the money. Could propably get it for cheaper as well if you dig around a little.
Honestly it was such a small and unusual job, i could likely have haggled the price, or just gotten the guy a nice bottle of whiskey as payment.

Oh and they were able to pull it off with a single piece of film, so no seams either.
