Has anyone figured how to get a RAM mount ball on the gas tank cap? I look at pictures and it seems like the MT10 has 2 fewer screws in the cap and most of the mounts I see won't wrap around far enough. Something like this. RAM-B-410U

Not sure if you have reasons other than location for wanting to put it on the tank. This might be a mount that gets close enough to that location, what I have on my bike. Maybe about 3 inches further forward/up. Although depending on how you locate the clamp it may end up very close to the same location. Saw you are in Columbus. I lived in Lewis Center for about 9 years. Worked in Delaware and then near Hilliard. www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-342U

That might work out. I was going to use it for a camera so I wasn't sure if I wanted it moving with the forks or not. Yeah, been in Columbus a long time. Live on the southeast and work in Upper Arlington.

I remember searching for something similar. I think I didn't find anything promising. Eventually I settled on a similar option mentioned above.
I have a thread on it, bolting the ram mount into the handlebar clamps if you're interested. Search my threads via my profile.
