The only thing I noticed was that the maintenance intervals between the MT10 and FZ10 are different. The 2016 MT10 has 6000 mile intervals while the 2017 FZ10 has 4000 mile intervals. Why the huge disparity between the two? Any feedback on this?

the 16 mt 10 is hyperlinked properly but the '17 fz-10 is just a scanned document. May I ask what's the difference between the two?  I just downloaded the file on the first post (2016 MY), but wondering what the difference is (maybe not searchable?), since I'd prefer to have the proper document, which would be for a US market 2017 FZ-10. The 2016 is a European model, since it arrived in the US in 2017. That's probably why the difference in oil change interval. Haven't checked what my owner's manual says (just 8 miles on the clock. He he), but it should be there. Thanks a lot for the files folks. EDIT: Clicked on the FZ-10 link, and it requires subscribing to some crap, so never mind . The 2016 in .pdf is enough for my purposes. Thanks anyway. |

euro or us, i still have no idea why the oil change intervals are different. My R6 had a 6k interval. I'm just about at 5k and haven't done my service yet. I am probably going to follow the euro manual.

I snagged a copy of both manuals and noticed that the wiring diagrams are slightly different between the FZ and the MT. Unfortunately, I am unable to zoom in and get the detail that I need in the FZ manual because it was scanned. Has anyone found the full PDF copy of the FZ manual? In the 2016 MT manual in section 8-17, the high beam is listed on circuit 106 while the 2017 FZ listed on circuit 104. I am trying to figure out where I can find and tap into the high beam wire. More to come on that mod in another post. Thanks, Neil |

Probably different wiring because the 2016 MT manual is for the European market and the 2017 FZ manual is for the US market. Differences in regulations mean slightly different wiring arrangements.

I think Europeans have both headlights as low and high beam, no? And ours is one and one, which looks pretty weird IMO, but nothing we can do. I remember my BMW being the same way, although at least that bike had different shapes for low and high beam, so kind of made more sense. On mine, looks like one bulb burned out. Ha ha. And yes, I'd also like the service manual just for my 2017 FZ-10, so if you find it Nemecham, please post it . Thanks. |

In Australia we get the European/Asian MT10 model, can confirm that only one headlight is illuminated on low beam so basically the same as the FZ model. And yes it is a weird design in my opinion. |
