Hey guys,
I would like to ask you what would happen if a mistaken touch (just a touch) of the positive battery pole on the negative pole? A spark made for a moment. Bike after that, had an engine warning light, dashboard, lights etc work fine and cranks but not starts. Is that a main fuse problem? Or is the ecu fried?
I read few similar situations saying about fuses and other about frying ecu. Bike has been sent to a service store yesterday just a little bit worried about the situation. Any feedback welcome. Cheers

I've also heard doing this can fry ecu's, regulators and other electronics. Let us know what the shop says but unfortunately I wouldn't expect it to be cheap.

First of all, I just wanted to point out the lesson learned from this thread, in case somebody missed it: NEVER remove the positive battery cable first, or install it last. As far as possible damage, if all fuses are fine, then it probably was the ECU, unfortunately. Good luck OP.

Surprised when I see people remove batteries negative first or doing jumper cables on cars all fucked up out of order!

Yeah, excellent point. Very important to do it in the right order. Here it is, in case somebody finds it helpful : 1. Attach positive jumper cable to DEAD battery '+' terminal. 2. Attach other end of positive jumper cable to GOOD battery '+' terminal. 3. Attach negative jumper cable to GOOD battery '-' terminal. 4. Attach other end of negative jumper cable to CHASSIS/ENGINE GROUND (NOT to the battery '-' terminal). Remove in reverse order (4,3,2,1). Done.

The fuse is blown. (ETVF) Electronic throttle valve fuse. It is a 7.5 fuse located behind the left side panel. No harm will be done to the bike or ECU. Instructions for the left side fairing cover removal to fuse box.
