I am wondering if anyone knows of a pillion grab rail. Something so I can secure my tail bad. I really didn't want to have a rear rack.

I could probably come up with something, I'll throw out a drawing in the morning.

I secured mine under the tail piece; couldn't get it done under the seat in a secure manner. Routed the straps thru the slots, so very clean. Not invisible, but doesn't look bad at all. Then joined all 4 straps under the seat with a hiker's aluminum 'D-ring', which clears the flap to unlock the seat. The bag is an Ogio. MUCH better than a freaking rear rack indeed . But if you ride in the rain, the straps get messy. I rarely do, so no biggie for me. Hope this helps.

OK, so using the two silver bolts on the sides of the subframe: Pretty easy to just make a bracket like this: So what gets put on between the washers is up to chesterburnet, it could be a simple rod, or a flat strap with slots cut in it, or ? Just have to remember that the front portion of that bracket will be slightly covered by the winglet. Of course the rod or whatever will be raised to clear the "hump" between the bolts, which could be done by using short tubes welded to the washers.

That's the exact brand and model I have. I got the front strap under the seat but the rear strap around the tail section isn't very secure. It works but I'm not confident about it. I assumed that there'd be someone that makes a grab bar but I haven't had any luck in finding one.

Not in love with the tall loop. See attached picture. I really was hoping there'd be something similar to the MT 09 tracer.

Where can I get one?

I might go this way too but it's pretty expensive for a steel loop

Cheaper than a Givi top box or Corbin seat lol. Neither of which I want or need.

My Ogio bag is similar to that Nelson Rigg. The pillion seat is too small. Plus there wasn't space under the seat where I needed it. So had to secure it below, and the rear straps behind the turn signals, so it doesn't move. Need to take better pics, but below is an old one I have (before many mods and changes). Wanted to comment I've had an Ogio bag like this on several other bikes before, and was able to install it under the seat on all of them. But they were sport-touring bikes, so pillion area was larger. Hope this helps.

I ended up buying this off Ebay. It came from GB and took about 10 days. Nice fit and finish and it is good to fasten my tail bag to.

I would have bought those in a second based on design but not for $250. There are too many over priced motorcycle aftermarket prices. I do without or find an alternative I can live with. If they were grab bars for a riding lawnmower they would have cost $0 - $30. I had bought Delkovic exhaust for my 2017 FJ 09 and thought the quality was excellent. I read so many disparaging comments about the poor quality that didn't jive with my experience and observations. When I bought my current MT 10, I went to a local performance bike shop that rents race bikes besides selling sport bikes. They must have had 30 bikes with all the major aftermarket exhausts. I spent an hour scrutinizing them and I couldn't see any appreciable jump in quality in any of them. In fact a few that go in the range of $1200 - 1300 just looked like shit. I've done almost all of my own work for the last 40 years and I think I can judge good quality. I make mistakes but I'm right more often than not.

Those are perfect but $250!!!! They look 3D printed which is cool but my god they seem proud of those things.
