I didn’t find anything by searching so my apologies if this has been covered. Is the R1 rear sprocket a direct fit to the FZ-10’s hub? I want the 2 tooth smaller sprocket for a few reasons. Slightly better highway mileage, little longer wheelbase, and less wheelie prone. Thanks in advance for the help.

Different sprocket, 530 pitch, with 5 mounting studs IIRC. From my research the options are, aluminum either in 520 (new chain and front sprocket) or 525 pitch. Supersprox do a custom Stealth 525 sprocket in any tooth count you like. I could find plenty of steel sprockets with more teeth than standard but none with less, except for Supersprox. There might be more options out there, that's just what I could find.

The sprockets for the R1S will fit. The ones for the R1/R1M with the magnesium wheels will not work.

That’s exactly what I needed to know. Thanks! Just be aware that the 6 stud R1 sprocket is a 530 pitch.

Doesn’t the FZ10 use a 530 chain?

Doesn’t the FZ10 use a 530 chain? It's a 525VZ, from the service manual.

Ah ok. Well then is there a comparable rear sprocket with two less teeth out there is a better question lol
