Does anyone know the difference in the 2020 and 2019 model versions of the mt10 bikes? Should I wait til 2021 to buy one of these? Save $1500 and get the 2019 or spend the $13,000 and get the 2020?

Id go for a slightly used one and use the saved money on tuning the bike for your liking. This bike can be anything, its like a blank canvas when new where you add the things you feel neccesary.
If you want it to hit the canyons and the track i suggest a suspension and brake upgrade, if you want to commute, a taller windshield along with a set of panniers is great.

Have you looked at the classified section on the forum? Several great low mileage bikes including mine.

Hopefully you haven’t bought yet. I just picked up a 2019 MT10 in Orlando for 10,399. Great bike!!

Wait and buy a turbo 😂😆😂😆😂 In today's environment I think the chances of Yamaha bringing this bike out is slim. But you never know.

And it'd cost considerably more as well. I wouldn't want a turbo MT-10 even if it cost the same as a regular one, but that's just me . Oh, and then it'd have an even worse range, so that alone would be a deal-breaker for me. Mine has the absolute minimum range I'd accept for the riding that I do.

For me to buy the 2020 instead of a 2019 was only a $700.00 difference.so it was worth it for me to get it. It was still in crate and hasn't been sitting on the showroom floor for months. you have to see what makes sense to you and only to you since it's your money.

I'm new to this site. Long time rider having owned many bikes but don't have an MT-10........ yet. I have two 2006 R1's. I love them but the cross plane crank power output is killer. Would like to get an MT-10.
So there is no differences between the 2019 and 2020. They are the same bikes?.............Correct?
How will the 2021 be different? When are they due to come out?

As others have noted in this thread, there is no difference between 2019 and 2020 except for color options. 2021 model......usually has press conference in late October to announce new models!

For practical purposes, the FZ/MT-10 is the same thing from 2016 to 2020. The only known difference, other than colors, was in 2018 the QS became standard. The 2021 might change, since the R1 already did this year. We'll see. Good luck with your purchase .
