Just as the title states—looking to run GP shift but not have to go aftermarket to replace the stock QS. Someone has to make something to allow this to work, right?
Thanks in advance!

So I think I’m catching what you’re throwing—just new rear sets would do it? Maybe I can just do the shift linkage or bits of it since they all sell them piece-by-piece and have an inexpensive solution so GP shifting with the stock QS

The stock quickshifter works on pull. If you flip it behind the shifter pivot, when you press down, the quickshifter will still pull.

That should do it, just looking simply at the motion. When the rod is connected to the holes on the far side of the pivot point, pushing up on the shifter pulls the rod down. When connected to the holes on the opposite side of the pivot point, pushing down on the shifter now pulls the rod down. Mine is aftermarket but works exactly like that to switch between standard and GP shift.

Will post up pics and results whenever I get it in from Attack!

You can do it for free. There is a flat spot on the rear of the stock shifter. Drill and tap to M6 (I think, check first!). It's like it's there for this very reason! Then flip the QS 180° to still use it in the pull configuration. Job done.

When you flip the QS 180* it causes it to push instead of pull as I tried it—but maybe since you’re drilling and changing the pivot point I’m wrong.

And it works! And I got to support a hell of an American racing program in Attack Performance—shifts seamlessly up and down for $105 with their trick/adjustable shift linkage. Highly recommend!

Because you move the mount behind the pivot and moved the QS 180° it still pulls. This is exactly the same as if you spent $100 on the replacement shift lever. Got nothing to lose giving it a go as it's free. Just mark the original placement with a marker or something so you can put it back with ease of you don't like it 👍🏼
