Been on kawis for the past 11 years but this past year I was gettin really interested in the hyper naked bikes. My recent bike was a 2015 zx6r. On September 30, 2019, my zx was parked it front of my work in D.C. in motorcycle-only parking. One of my fellow officers finds me in the building and tells me a truck hit my bike. I go check it out and the truck is already gone and my bike is crushed. Someone described the truck to me and I remember I had seen it when I came into work in the morning. Got home and checked my GoPro. Had the truck and plates and witnesses confirmed it was the truck.
So, in December 2019, the prick’s insurance buys me a brand new 2019 mt10. I fell in love when I saw it. Fell in love again when I rode it. On December 30th, 2019... yes, 3 months after the hit and run..... A MOTHER FUCKER HIT MY MT10. same place. At my work. Motorcycle-only parking. This guy didn’t run but I chewed him out hard.
His insurance is now fixing all damage, as well as: Putting on a black carbon s1r exhaust Removing my secondary intake with block offs Installing k&n race filter Installing Impaktech race rails Flashin my ecu through 2wdw
So while it’s a major pain in the ass, I suppose there is a silver lining.

Damn. Horror stories. My bike almost ended up like the above one, in Leakey, TX, but fortunately, a good samaritan banged on the octagenarian's super old duallie truck on time to just break the taillight. He had no money, so I bought one myself; hopefully earning enough karma to avoid a second similar incident. Ha ha. Also fortunately, I parked my bike with the front wheel against the curb, right by the entrance of the convenience store of the larger (of 2) gas station in that little town, so the bike didn't fall, and was able to continue terrorizing the awesome roads around there . After that incident, now I park at the side or rear of the freaking building, since there're a lot of senile retirees living there who still drive. As a closing thought, if I was the OP, I'd find a different spot where to park the bike .

Wow! Hey givuhcky22, that's like lightning struck twice in the same spot. If I were you I would park that motorcycle somewhere else. On the bright side, it seems, your motorcycle is evolving into a better motorcycle after it got hit each time. Who knows, after a third hit, your motorcycle may evolve into S1000R, Aprilia Tuono, or KTM Super Duke? Kidding aside: Enjoy your MT-10. From ZX6R into MT-10; that's quite a jump!
