Evening, gents! Joined the MT-10 gang about 3-4 months ago and just clicked around 3.2k miles on my bike—is this the service interval light? It’s amber and less-than-scary and the bike is running like a taped ape and everything electronics-wise is working.
Lmk if I’m an idiot. Thanks!

Is the light constant? Where on your dash is the light? Your TCS system may need to be reset.

Check engine light, means that most likely there has been a bug in the ECU and it needs to be reset (that is if the light is on constantly, even while riding).
The MT-10 does not remind you to service it.
Take it in to the dealer and have them read the code, most likely wont take more than 20 minutes to get it cleared and get you on your way again. Worst case scenario they actually find something that might turn into something serious and you catch it early so it can be cheaply fixed.

Was thinking of unplugging the battery and plugging it back in and playing it by ear.... Thanks for the response, though!

Or buy the OBd2 plug in and the CEL reader and clear the codes yourself. AUTEL MaxiScan MS300 CAN OBDII Scan Tool OBD2 you can find this on Newegg.com or Amazon. Yamaha 4-pin to OBD2 Diagnostic Cable MT10 can be bought on Ebay or Amazon.

You’re the shit! I work at a new car dealership so they’ve got the scanner but I just ordered off eBay the connector you suggested. Thanks a million boss!
Edit: Ill update and post what the code was. Cheers

Welcome! Keep us posted on the CEL! Thanks to you gents I was able to clear the code & find that it was a wheel speed sensor error. So I turn off the TC every time I ride the bike—but whenever I put it on the rear stand and let it idle in 1st gear to lube the chain every few days I am guessing that’s what did it as I don’t turn the TC off, obviously. Never rev it just snick it into first and slowly let the clutch out. Hope this helps those in the future & thanks for the help as always boys!
