Almost got hit (Edition 1 of "Bad Drivers")

HAHA you sped up 10mph to be in his way.... Bad driver indeed.... YOU

I was binge watching bad driver/road rage videos a while back, cars also not just bikes.

It seems to be about half and half in those videos. Half really bad drivers and half people creating situations that they “technically” are not at fault but are avoidable.
Seems that a lot of the car drivers on the videos are looking for “good” footage for their dash cams.

I don’t have a go pro but had a situation a couple days ago. Was coming out of a set of curves near my house and onto a straight flanked by neighborhoods. I slow down through that section because of the homes. Was going 50 in a 45.
Saw a car pulling up to a stop sign coming out of a neighborhood. Had the sense he was going to roll through the stop.
There was a center turn lane, I had clear visibility and no cars coming.
Had the turn lane not been there (or been oncoming traffic) I would have started slowing in anticipation.
Sure enough, he didn’t see me in his brief glance and rolled right out.
Moved into the turn lane and looked right at him as I went by.
Didn’t start anything though (I try not to get worked up or animated at other drivers mistakes) and went on my way.

Closest I’ve come to getting really messed up by a terrible driver was in a left hand corner.
I was taking the corner at speed and leaned over fairly hard, but in my lane and with some margin for error/correction.
Jeep coming the other way was completely in my lane.
I eased off the throttle, changed my line and got to the far edge of the road (no shoulder on the road).
Jeep jerked over but was still partially in my lane when we passed.
That could have been a very bad day.

I pulled the whimpy stock sound bomb mini....they can hear that!
