I'm new, coming from a GSXR 1000

I just turned 40 not long ago and riding my lovely 2006 gsxr1000 has become too much lately. Going on rides longer than 150 miles is my limit and the fact I love to go to North Georgia mountains and then tail of the dragon I simply cannot do it anymore on this bike.
That said I still love the speed and riding characteristics of a sport bike. 


A friend has a 2017 FZ10 with 13k miles on it, full color screen (edit, I don't think its color, they didn't have them in 2017 right?) and a ton of add on's that he wanted to get rid of as he bought a cruiser bike (hes older)

I would ride with him on these long journeys and while he doesn't look cool tucked in lol, he is for sure comfortable. I thought about it and even though my decision wasn't easy, I decided to get a super naked. My other buddy has a triple speed which I rode, I thought it was pretty great so when my friend talked about selling his 2017 FZ10, I decided to get it.


Here is the thing. he lives in N. Ga and I'm here in S.FL. I bought it already but haven't even picked it up, I haven't even rode it and never rode an FZ10 before

so in a couple weeks I'm taking my truck up there for a weekend to pick her up. I'm super excited.

I think it has a quick shifter pretty sure at least. I think its only for up shifting though right, not downshifting? cruise control and heated grips lol not needed in FL
