I have read some of the talk about windscreens here but without getting into "buy one like mine to justify my purchase," I need one to really make internet speed riding more pleasant. I am an old FJR1300 rider and know I cannot and do not want that much protection but would like cut through the wash nicely and take some pressure off off my chest without turning myself into a bobble head.
Your honest opinions please.
Thanks for the great forum and help.

I was having the same issues not that long ago. Many will have an opinion on this matter and rightfully so. I think if all boils down to personal preference and the amount of wind protection you are looking for OR willing to live without! I believe I found the sweet spot with the Puig racing windscreen in that it helped tremendously while on the interstate and retained the overall looks and styling of the bike. Small, compact and angled just right to move the airflow upward. If looks are not a concern there are better options for more wind blockage...just wasn't my cup of tea. It really has opened up new roads and expanded my usage! I always had to use the back roads to avoid the interstate...which is not the easiest nor fastest way to get from point A to B. Just sharing "my honest opinion" on the Puig and others will as well with their screen of choice! I hope this helps and wish you luck in finding the right one!

I've had a Powerbronze light tint touring screen on for 2 1/2 years and very happy with it. Easy install, just remove the four screws and use the nylon washers and new screws to affix the screen, a 10 minute operation. There are lots of options out there now....it all comes down to personal preference.

I have the official Yamaha windscreen and absolutely love it.
Makes freeway riding so much better.

I have the MRA short windscreen and it does its job very well, even at 150+. In my opinion, we do not have any good looking windscreen options and they all seem like someone took 5 minutes and whipped one up. I felt the MRA was the least ugly option and I looked at dozens of windscreens and never felt like I found one that I really felt belonged on the bike.

I have the Givi sport screen and like it a lot. Keeps the matte gray factory pieces and helps a lot on the highway

Have you seen the madstad screens? They are pretty big but people are saying they work very well. I already have one ordered and will give an update once I have it on my bike.
