Has anyone thought about doing forum specific raffles? Start off with something small then move onto bigger things like facebook pages do.

i believe this is technically against the law in the US unless you allow individuals free entry (making it a sweepstakes) which could make it difficult to afford nice prizes. at minimum it's contingent on state law.
I do like the idea though.

I do like the idea though. Technically it is against the law but tons of people do them, it's simple to get around, you could say it's a donation or buy a sticker etc etc. |

We do one in the UK based on out lotto bonus ball number.
It's none profit with prizes voted for by the forum users. Say tickets are £10 each then the prize lot would something around £400 like Ti headers (current prize) or ECU custom Dyno tune to a set of tires at £7 a pop.
The rest of the money (59 numbers on the lotto) goes to charity of the winners choice.
Each draw also has six runners up from the main numbers drawn who get something like a chain lube and cleaner kit.
