Good morning everyone. Brian here from SW Florida (we're about 45 miles south of the Sun). I just traded in my Harley Road King for a 2019 MT-10 (with exactly 1 mile on the odometer when I took it for a test ride) and have been wearing a cartoonish grin on my face ever since. I was initially concerned that the riding ergos wouldn't be compatible with my bum knee (after some intensive reconstructive surgery to repair a nasty explosion of my tibial plateau, it doesn't bend as far as it did before), but I was elated to discover that not only did it fit, but it was actually comfortable. After the test ride and subsequent sales department dancing, I left the Road King at the dealership and took home my new Yamaha.
I felt an immediate affinity for the bike and am enjoying every second in the saddle.

Welcome, that is a huge change from a Road King to an MT-10 It is, but a welcome one. I grew up around Harleys and have had a few of my own, but I always enjoyed the experience of the metric bikes more for some reason. I never really bonded with the FLHR, so it didn't pain me too much to wave goodbye to it.
I don't expect the MT-10 to be my go-to bike for long rides, but I have a Versys 1000LT for that.
