Since 2018 model has good deals, I am wondering if I am losing out on anything by going with 2018 model instead of 2019.
Also, I read a couple of engine blow outs threads. I haven't seen many of those. Are there any manufacturing concerns with this bike?

As far as I know, just colors, so your choice should boil down to liking a 2018 color (I don't). If you do, then I'd definitely go for a discounted one. As far as blown engines, there has only been like 3, so mostly the luck of the draw, as one was a 2017, another a 2018, and the third was just a side comment from somebody who heard about it (bad cam parts), so no specific info. I'd say our FZ/MT-10s are one of the most reliable bikes out there. Good luck.

Yes & I recently read that Yamaha is the number one brand for reliability (based on American warranty data across the bike brands).

I think this has been the case for a few years now, but yes, they're number 1 in terms of reliability among motorcycle manufacturers. I know it goes back at least to 2015, when Consumer Reports did a study, and may even go further back:
