Dang that's cheap. I thought I got a great deal for 280$ from RevZilla they would have price matched 230.21$. Ohh well. I like my comfort seat. I have 3 lower levels of my back fused. This seat helps allot. Im able to ride for 3 hours VS 1 hour with the stock seat

I got the dealer to throw it in at no charge when I bought my 2019. It's great. I rode on the stock seat for a couple weeks while I waited for the comfort seat to arrive and there is a big difference.

For those interested here is the link for the FZ-10 seat. www.partzilla.com/product/yamaha/B67-F47C0-V0-00It is $258.30 from them. Might be able to get it cheaper elsewhere but I just wanted to make everyone aware who has a FZ-10 and not an MT-10. Haha

Haha I ordered the MT-10 seat for my FZ-10 thinking it might be upgraded with better fit at the front, but it's not, as an FYI. So either one will be exactly the same, except for the lettering. The other thing is the MT-10 seat was $30 less, so I'd have bought it anyway. It's the same darn bike. Only in the US it had a different name for 2017. After the modifications I made to it, it fits perfectly now, and it won't damage the paint (or the seat) at the corners anymore. By the way, I paid $255 shipped for my seat (Babbitt's), so it's cheaper at $230 now. Good deal.

I am trying out a hawk air cushion this week but not sure if I should look into one of these for daily use for rides that are only 1-2 hours.

To be brutally honest, the stock seat was a goner before I even put a leg over the bike. Just couldn't stand that freaking 'tumor' to prevent sliding back. Having said that, the stock seat is absolute crap even without that appendage. It was painful even with less than an hour. The comfort seat is not the best I've owned, but definitely worth the money IMO. Just wish I didn't have to waste so much time making it fit like it should for a factory item, but still don't regret buying it, as there wasn't any other option for me. The super heavy and tall Corbin was out of the question for me. The Seat Concepts is just a cover on the same crappy seat, which keeps the appendage, and it's cheap-looking, so also a no-go for me. There might be a 3rd option now, since Sargent was working on a seat for the FZ/MT-10, but haven't read anything about it. So go ahead and check, but if you want about the same seat height as stock, it's just the comfort seat or a cheap-looking seat cover. Good luck.

I've just bought a second hand comfort seat yesterday. Fitted it but now it's raining cat's and dogs here in Sunny Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire England.

Well first impressions time. Nothing really special about the comfort seat but it's better than stock. Did go to the store and got the felt sticky pads. Just install the seat, see where it touches/pinches and stick the pads there. Gotta agree with wth is with the fitment comments. No wonder it squeaks and tears. Anyway the felt solved that issue, hopefully.
As far as the actual ride, yeah it's better. Dang sure not perfect but after a few hundred mile weekend no complaints, no monkey butt etc.. and I'm in central Texas so..
Seat height diff is pretty minimal but could tell a little. Overall for 230 bucks, yeah it was worth it. Just wish the stitching was black.
