I have been Riding "Crotch Rockets" Since I bought my first one in October of 2005 Kawasaki ZX-6R. I have had many other bikes since then. My Current Bike is a 2013 Kawasaki ZX-14R. Im 31 have a family and now dont need to go 187mph. Not to mention its getting uncomfortable. My buddy just bought a 2013 FZ-8 and he loves it. We were out riding last week and we switched bikes. I immediately fell in love with the comfort. Power was lacking but I loved everything else about the bike. That sparked my interest and started doing research. Thats when I found the 2017 FZ-10. I think this bike looks sexy as hell! I went today to my local dealer and put a deposit on one. I should have it within the next week. Im excited!!!
My only question I have is what is the top speed of this bike? I cant seem to find anything on that. I am hoping for 150-160. Does anyone know?
Thank you all for the help. I hope I didnt make a mistake.

Top speed is depends on how strong your neck can take the wind lol. I always back out around 140. I'm sure bike can go over 150 but I doubt my neck can. I've always had sportbike and bought this bike for comfort and hope of slowing down and just "cruise" on public road. Ever since I reflashed ecu from 2wheeldynoworks, it's constant wheelies when you are below 4th gear and riding like a maniac. Low end and top end is fairly disappointing off the factory but that might save your driver license for little longer.

I have heard 145 stock, 170 with ecu flash/removal of factory restriction. Don't quote me on that. One of you guys should be the ones telling us right here on the forum. I'm waiting...

FZ-10 is tuned more for mid range and low end. You can always change sprockets if you want a higher top end.
Bike choice is personal choice, no one here can tell you if you made the right one.
I got tired of clip on handle bars on the street a long time ago and built a "street fighter" standard out of my '97 CBR900RR back in '02 and I always had a second sport bike set up for the track. Now the industry has caught up and we have a nice selection of superbike powered street standards to choose from.
That said, as far as track bikes go, clip ons, rear sets and a full fairing are the way to go.

I think the restrictions are different in the USA and the MT-10 might have more power? They should be equal after the re-flash.

What color did you order? I think you're going to love it. I certainly love mine.

I ordered armor gray. I have a full Brock's exhaust and reflashed my zx14r. Putting down 204 at the wheel. I will for sure re flash the fz10 and hopefully Brock's will come up with an exhaust.

Upon more research what's is the difference between the mt10 and fz10? The name... North America has FZ's,the rest of the world MT's.
