Hi all , I have a couple of questions about the Akrapovic link pipe.
Just got my brand new mt10 with the Akrapovic end can but its not loud enough for me, If i have the link pipe fitted does the engine need remapping?
Also how does it affect my warranty, i guess removing the cat might cause an issue???

If you remove the cat, engine would run dangerously lean, so you have to adjust fueling accordingly. And any ECU flash would irreversibly break an electronic seal (detectable by Yamaha via a download, but not by dealers), even if you remap back to stock, so I'd refrain from doing that during warranty. Your only option to avoid voiding your warranty would be a 'piggyback' device, like a Power Commander. I'd at least put a thousand miles on the bike before doing anything, just to make sure you don't have any issues. Good luck.
