So I went to VIR this past weekend to watch the motoamerica races. First time ever going to any kind of motorcycle race and I am just hooked now. Never really paid attention to any race stuff before but since I got home I've just been looking up news and checking out all the amazing pictures that have been taken over the last couple of races. Definitely an experience.

I have been the past 3 years, working on my house prevented me from going this year, VIR is fun place to watch races and there are several track day organizations that run there, it’s about 6 hours from me, took the California Superbike School 2 day camp there in 2015, it was pricey but I was fortunate that the way the on track coaching played out, the first day my coach was training a new coach and I had 2 on 1 training input. Helped me identify areas to work on when I do track days and makes you a safer more confident street rider by giving you a systematic approach to riding.
I am a big fan of all the road racing series and have online subscriptions to MotoAmerica, MotoGP, and WSBK, went to Austin for the MotoGP and MotoAmerica races the past two years, the Pramac Ducati team stayed in the same hotel we did, my daughter got a photo with Peco Bagnia and we spoke to some of the crew, but their English was limited. Lamborghini USA was their weekend sponsor and they drove around in 2 SUV’s and 2 convertible sports cars. Jack Miller let a little boy sit in one of the cars when the boy and his Dad were checking it out. I was watching MotoGP practice and qualifying this morning. If you live near a track that hosts a MotoAmerica round, get out and support the series, meet the teams and riders. I’m a big Team Westby fan, Matthew Scholtz is super nice and Trigg Westby is just like any other motorhead and a great person to talk to, plus they are dog lovers.
A big plus for you was seeing JD Beach get his first Superbike win, the JiggyDog was one pumped up man after his win, he is a good rider and I was glad to see him get a win especially on a privateer bike. He also races the American Flat Track series, if you have never been to a race, it is also fun and exciting to watch,
