Hello. I've been considering a FZ/MT 10 for a while now. The most common complaint I see is the snatchy fueling at low speed/city traffic speed.
Is the snatchy throttle specific to the '17 and was it rectified on the '18 and '19? Or are both the same.
I see lots of people get the flash. I've also read that some people prefer the throttling on the newer versions. Mostly, I'm wondering about the snatch.
Thanks!

My 2017 is just about perfect fueling wise for me, but I use STD mode. It can have just a tad of surging under a very narrow rpm band and very light throttle at slow speeds, so not an issue for me at all. A more aggressive throttle map (mode) would make it worse. What also helps me to avoid that is I always rest 2 fingers on the brake lever, which helps a lot stabilizing my throttle hand during bumps and such. Plus I developed a pretty good throttle control over the years after owning several 'snatchy' BMWs. Anyway, since everybody rides differently, it'd be great if you can get feedback from somebody who has ridden both years . Otherwise, you're probably not going to get objective info. I don't think I helped you much, but at least you have some input now . Good luck in your search.

No idea if the 17 had a flash. I presume the 18 was stock. Both were generally fine. The 17 was noticably snatchy in B tho. I've been wondering if whether I missed something in A and STD. Anyhow, thanks again. I shall continue my research!

STD mode is ok on the 2017. You can get a flash done with a tuner familiar with our bikes and they could map the throttle differently. The modes don't sap any power from the bike, they are just different throttle maps. So STD mode is pretty forgiving.
