Hey guys Haven't read much posting regarding the K&N air filters for the FZ/MT10. Anyone using them? I still have one in my 03 FJR for many many years. Amazon has them for 2018 models. I'm assuming they are for previous years as well? Those that have it.... is this the model you purchased? Sometimes they get it wrong.... Thanks another name of lion

I don't know where you live, but I wouldn't use a racing filter (that's what K&N's are) where I live even if I got paid to do that. They don't filter crap, compared to a paper one. Plus your engine doesn't need any more air than the stock paper filter flows when replaced properly, so you're just wasting your money, getting your oil dirty quicker, and potentially damaging your engine, especially if you live in a dusty climate, like me. You can do your own test by blowing dirt with a ShopVac thru both filters onto a wet white shop towel and judge by yourself. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you can see thru a filter, it's not going to filter that great. Ha ha. More air (that your engine doesn't need) means more dirt; no way around that. So it's your call .

I would look at a BMC street filter before I would get a K&N, seem like a better filter and it is reusable, although the stock one seems to be fine.

Just stay with stock, they work fine. And some people have had issues with K&N filters fitting properly.
