Good evening, everyone!
Well, my beloved 94 Magna, which had been stored in boxes at a friends' place is beyond repair. Long story short, it was disassembled for powdercoat and paint and life happened. In any case, it's not going to go back together any time soon, and I can't have my 2003 Blackbird be lonely.
So I started looking for a Magna replacement. I'd been in love with the BMW K1200R and it's strange front end, but maintenance issues (co$ts) and the inability to get good service records scared me off.
A call to a local dealership looking for similar BMWs led to the sales dude mentioning the MT10. Turns out, someone bought one last year, put a graves pipe on it, and decided it wasn't for him after 385 miles. So I did my research and decided to pull the trigger. His loss is my gain. A few quick calls for financing and insurance and here I am.
I'm anticipating some more upright riding (with even more power than my 'bird!), and I'm looking forward to meeting other members of this forum for some rides, if you happen to be in my area.
Some quick facts about me:
- Been riding motorcycles since 5th grade
- I've been a pilot since 1991, and I'm currently working on getting my Flight Instructor certificate
- Always love a good cigar
- Huge movie buff
- Proud owner of two rescue dogs- Black German Shepherds, Lady & Triten (my avatar)
- Avid gamer, primarily Destiny 2 on Xbox (gamertag: Korb1n Dallas)
