So I've been searching the forum and the web to see if anyone has installed stock R1 rearsets their MT10 or FZ10 and have not found any info. In the future I would like to change the rearsets on my MT10 for a more aggressive footing position but don't want aftermarket rearsets. I like the look of the bike stock. So I was wondering if anyone has installed a set of STOCK R1 rearsets on their bike or if they no someone that has. If so how did it work out, any problems with the rear master cylinder, etc... Also how much did it change your foot position. Thanks in advance.

Yes it's been done. Know for sure it's been talked about on this forum but no threads come to mind.
It's my understanding that you need to run an R1 master and a longer??? Hose line. The R1 rearsets also change the mounting point for the exhaust so you either need to run an R1 exhaust or figure out how you'll mount your FZ exhaust.
So yes it can be done. What I was never sure about is will it affect the cruise control. I had to modify the brake switch for the R1 front master cylinder to get it to work correctly with the cruise control and rear brake light.

My R1 master was plug and play.

I cut out a little bit if the plastic inside of the switch because my brake light and cruise control disengage were slightly delayed. So I could actually be on the brakes slightly and no brake light would be on and cruise control wouldn't disengage.
Got the idea from the Stoltec build thread.

I wrote to attack performance about rear sets for our bike. This is their reply. We do not make a kit for that bike. However if you purchase a 2015-2018 Yamaha R1 Rear Master Cylinder the our kit will bolt right up. There is a youtube video online of how to do it if you search Yamaha fz-10 attack rearsets. We have the rearset kit for the R1 in stock and ready to ship. If you would like to do the above I will give you 10% off of the kit to help with cost. I guess it would be the same for stock rear sets.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sorry for not responding back sooner, been busy with the honey do list. I thought I read or saw something about the R1 rearset and having to change the master cylinder do to the bolt pattern not lining up or something, but that was over a year ago so I don't remember were. Anyone have an ideal of how much the stock R1 rear set will move the peg position??? I probably won't do this mod for awhile just want to be prepared.
Finally got some extra $$. Gonna be getting the MJS mid pipe and the A&R motorsports race baffle kit and hopefully if there is enough $$ gonna get a set of crg lane splitter mirrors.
Thanks again every one.
