Hello All, picking up a new black one next Saturday, test rode last year and most other supernakeds, finally decided this is the one, will be using it for trip down to Southern Europe so bit concerned about fuel range, have read anything from 80-160 miles, guess am going to find out for sure next week, may have to get a rack and small fuel can, just liked the bike too much and will have to live with it Keeping it standard for now but I know what will happen, always does

Welcome fella, be sure to keep us informed. Pics are good.
I'm over in South Wales. Got mine last October and it got run in before they started salting the roads so she's good to go for this season. Keep an eye out on Gumtree for an exhaust. I found an as new Scorpion RP1-GP can for sale for £200 and got a Leo Vince baffled decat which is slightly quieter than the full decat brand new for just £165.

Welcome in.
About the only downer with this bike is the tank range.
I only get 100 miles to a tank, and that's when I am not going mad.
Don't know if the guys who have their ECU flashed have any improvement.
Where in europe are you planning to go?
I will hopefully do a trip this summer to Switzerland and Italy.
Notice the word hopefully...
I'am in the Heathrow area.
Cheers.

italy is also my destination, early June, thinking a screen might help with the mpg, better aero, probably not much difference but it all helps, reckon rack with a 5 litre can is a must, just an extra bit in reserve, I am in NW London sometimes go Ace cafe but crap roads and expensive food

Ha, I heard these bikes only get about 25mpg! Luckily, I am not worried about fuel mileage. And since they only get about 100 miles on a tank, I won't have to worry about a stock seat being uncomfortable either!

I've had mine for a week and I'm getting 27 currently, but I know things like an ECU flash, air filter, and exhaust changes can improve that a bit. It's the only thing I miss about my Honda Rebel 500... it was getting almost 60 mpg, but it had a super small tank so my distance covered is about the same.

Mine has been owned since new and currently has 705 miles on the clocks and I have averaged 35.17mpg (UK MPG not US @ 4.545 litres per gallon). Usually around 12-13litres per fill but have done a few early fill ups .

I've played with mine watching the instant mileage. If you short shift and basically lug it. I.E. pretend it's a Harley. Keep it under 5k and accelerate soft (I know that's a tall order.) I can get almost 40 mpg(US). Use 6th gear and cruise control on the highway. If I romp on it, and ride it like it was built to be ridden, I get about 30 mpg.

managed to get 36.4 uk mpg which I believe is 43.7 us mpg on my first 100 miles running in below 6K so not bad, reckon this will be my default mode when it switches to reserve as I reckon less than a gallon when it started flashing. Great fun even when running in, looking forward to cracking that throttle

I dunno what it is in miles but I'm getting 200kms to a tank around town and when I fill up usually around 16 litres goes in. The furthest I've gone is 244kms on a ride, cruising on open roads and bashing it through mountains. I filled up that time and 13.8 litres went in. I have a woolich racetune with a sprint polyester air filter. Hope this helps a bit, live in Australia.

200ks is 120m and 244 is 146. Just multiply by 0.6 About the norm I reckon depending how it’s ridden. Yesterday I stuck in 13.3l after doing 102 miles so pretty much 35mpg and I’ve been ragging it everywhere.
