Had to run out of the house the other week and couldn't take car. Tires were super cold and I was in a hurry and took the inside of the corner at a 4 way stop to turn right. Must have been some gravel and I lowsided. Fairly embarrassing. My first spill in 18 years of riding. I was only going like 5 mph so the damage is all cosmetic.
What's a cheap source of OEM parts? Revzilla says they carry Yamaha now but I can't seem to find parts for my (our) model. I think I'll need a front turn signal, engine cover, the little triangle mini-fairing, a bar end, and a mirror (probably going to switch to aftermarket mirrors once I choose a set).
I'm open to aftermarket parts as well, like the Woodcraft engine cover.
Thanks for any input.

I had the same exact situation happen to me 4 years ago with my Street Triple R (it was all of 3 weeks new at the time, too ) - super cold weather/tires and completely missed a gravel patch... boom, replacing a side cowl, engine cover, lever, etc... Bikebandit.com and babbittsonline.com are a couple of sites I've found OEM parts for relatively cheap. At the very least, use one of these sites to get the OEM part number and then Google the part number, maybe stick "Yamaha" in there too, and search for a lower price. Could always post a "WTB" in the classifieds here if you're not in a huge rush; might catch a break. If you're looking to go with aftermarket, search the forums here and you can probably find some info assuming it's a fairly commonly swapped part. I have the Woodcraft engine cover. It's not a replacement part but covers the existing engine cover so if the scratches are small enough and covering the cosmetic damage is your main goal, they could do the job. There are several options in that department you can look at. Ditto for mirrors and bar-ends. Ebay (as much as I hate sending anyone there) can be a decent source for knock-offs if you're on a budget. My bar-ends are CRG knock-offs and are pretty damn good for the $25 I spent on them.

INVEST IN SOME FRAME SLIDERS. I went down last week due to a combination of cold tires and a pothole. I was going about 35-40 around a turn and the back wheel started coming out, caught a pothole and highsided. Anyways thanks to my sliders the only damage to the bike was a slightly ground down bar end as well as a little bit of wear on what I believe is an ignition cover. No leaks, no funny noises, and absolutely no damage to the tank or plastics.

Thanks dude. Those are all good ideas. I appreciate it. Trying to find the time to go into the garage this week and do a tally. Can you link the bar-ends you picked? I was looking at the CRG Arrows because they have the look I like, but 110 bucks for mirrors is steep.

I really like the Puig ones but they're so pricey.

Thanks dude. Do I have to be in business to buy from them? The signup is kinda vague and it says "(Your dealer information will be verified when you check out)", but other parts say personal use is fine. Appreciate it.

I get my factory parts from them all the time and I'm not a dealer.

Woodcraft sliders FTW. Only the best for my bike. Edit: Duplicate pics removed. Those look pretty good. Definitely a contender. Thanks dude. Edit: Do you (or anyone else) know how to find my submodel? It's either JGY or JL but I've tried a few VIN decoder tools and can't find any info about which it is. I didn't get it in California.

Hey OP, don't know which tires you had, but if they're the stock ones, they're crap in the cold. Unless you track your bike, that should be your first replacement . Just like summer tires on cars, it's quite dangerous to drive/ride with summer/sport tires in cold weather. Tires give ZERO warning, as many of you have found out the hard way. They're sticky but only when hot. I still have mine, but will ride super conservative in cool weather until I swap them with PR5s or similar sport-touring rubber. Good luck.
