So finished the control changes I've been working on. Did the clutch the other day and have now completed the R1 Master Cylinder swap. Going to have to wait a while to judge what difference it will make as it's -24*f this morning!!!! I'll try this out before progressing with any other changes like Pads and Lines, so as to see the improvement (if any) with this change.

Is anyone aware if master cylinders, with exception of being bent (void), can be reused if a bike is totaled? Do internal parts take damage somehow? Thinking of pulling one off if a totaled R1 drops by in a junkyard somewhere and its otherwise intact.

Internal parts can have damages , must check if the brake lever get hits aka bent lever /broken and so on . But you can look if worth to use or not .

So as long as the assembly looks ok (no hard hits on the lever etc) it should be fine. Ill keep an eye out (and ofcause do some careful test braking in a safe area).
