just thought say hello to everyone joined end of dec. i have an all black 10 leo vince slip on brembo pads and metzler m7rr tires,i just got my ecu back from 2wdw but in north ohio i will have to wait to see how that works out.anyway from the revues everyone here has posted it should be good,just trying to get rid of that snatchy throttle,this bike is already stupid fast.

I actually think the throttle is perfect on this bike. I always paid attention to throttle control since I started riding, and mastered it a few year later. I actually like it on the 'std' mode; it reacts instantly to throttle blips (awesome), it has the perfect mapping IMO, and it's not snatchy at all. However, I also developed a good trait to control that early on: always resting index and middle fingers on clutch and brake levers. That not only gives you instant braking reaction and ability to turn handlebars and modulate clutch at the same time (like for stability on U-turns), but allows you to keep throttle steady on irregular pavement (no snatchiness) by levering your hand on the brake lever. Similar to having your throttle foot resting on the heel, vs on the air. Try throttle control on your car with your right foot on the air. Ha ha. Same thing. You guys should try it .

I agree on resting your fingers. Another tip on throttle control on bumpy pavement (and when riding twisties) is to put the outside part of the palm on the bar weight. That really gives you a proper steady hand, you feel every tiny movement you do and the throttle stays in place when you want it to. Im assuming all riders here know by now to hold the throttle like a screw driver, not like a hammer. I started out on a FZ-07 (EU restricted to 47 hp) so i guess twitchy throttles has kind of grown on me. Test rode a Z900 and really missed that kick in your behind feel when rolling on the throttle agressively (still, awesome bike, especially for its price). The FZ-10 is not nearly as confidence inspiring with the twitchy throttle, but I personally think thats a good thing

I guess I am in the same group that don't mind the throttle. We have some rough areas here and there road wise. A good friend of mine road mine recently (he's a Harley owner) and he said that riding the FZ-10 was like riding a horse which actaully was a compliment. I told him that I felt the same way about riding his Harley except riding the Harley was like riding a Jack-Ass.

I think the problem is the fuel cut is just too aggressive,it is annoying in parking lots and makes mid corner corrections a distraction.But that is the only thing negative i can say about this bike, this might be the best all around street bike i have ever owned.Its fast, handles good, stops good(stops great with the right pads)and so far its bin very reliable, and then theirs the wheelies it is just mental.
