Planning to select and purchase an MT-10 soon! Always been on straight up sport bikes until now, so will be interested in how I like the relaxed position. Regardless, I’m looking forward to riding it in the spring, which will be a decent wait given I live in Northern Illinois just south of the Wisconsin.
Hope to meet up with some of you on the road!

You'll love it but you are going to hate the wait to ride. Take that from someone in southern Wisconsin.. lol

This reminds me of what a bitch I have become in San Diego. Like I won't ride cause the weather has dipped into the high 40s in the morning but 60 by mid day. And y'all would do anything for even that weather
Premature congrats on the bike and welcome to the forum!!

You'll love the more upright position! And then you'll just love the bike! 😁 Mine is sitting in the garage... Maine in December is not good for riding. Although, we were able to take them out on 22nd, sunny, in the 50's, roads mostly dry!
Redandblack, you have a responsibility to the rest of us to keep riding while we can't! 😉

Hi all, One bit of a clarification - sorry for the newb question. Possibly this has been definitively answered- if it has I couldn’t find it. I see various mentions through posts here of the US spec MT-10 being down on power relative to the other markets. Is this the case? I don’t understand why Yamaha would spend the time to change the maps or hardware unless it is related to our fuel quality or emissions regulations... but there could be another reason. Please help me understand if the US MT-10 is the same as those tested in other markets (non-SP model of course).
Thanks

But I am talking about 30MPH gusts which isn't much fun to be in. Up here in Northern California we tend to get more wind then anything else in our area.
