Figured I'd create a sticky post for the Parts for Sale Forum. Even though it is clearly states on the forum description, we've had a bunch of posts lately without pictures and other valuable details. Most of them seem like they are people who have sold the bike and are just trying to dump parts. I've been kind to try to give them 24 hours to correct the post but most of the times there is no response so, going forward, this courtesy will only be extended to members with higher post counts or time on the forum. So if you were tagged in this thread, your post was likely deleted and you must repost it within the guidelines below.
So to back up the forum description, all sales posts must have
1. Pictures 2. Location (or at least shipping information IE: Free shipping for lower 48) 3. Clear Price 4. NO CRAIGSLIST/FB/Cycletrader/etc. LINKS. Posts should include all of the details of the item(s) being sold. Not just an offsite link to the details.
"I could not figure out how to post pictures" is not a valid excuse. Either message the moderators for help or reference the other sticky thread that tells you how to do so.
Pictures help all parties involved know what is actually being sold and in what condition. Even pictures of brand new items, pictures help protect both the buyer and seller from accusations if one of the parties makes a claim of an incorrect or unsatisfactory sale. |
