Hello from New Member

Hello Everyone-
I'm a new member and wanted to say Hi. I got my 2017 FZ10 in late September this year and I love it. I'm a 52 year-old rider that started riding dirt bikes at 12, street bikes at 14 and have ridden pretty much straight through with a few brief breaks. I bought a 2016 HD Road Glide Ultra in late 2015 and have 74K miles on it. I love to go for long road trips, but it seriously lacks in the performance department. I got the FZ10 and have been having a blast every time I ride it. I haven't done anything to it besides make it a bit more suitable for commuting/long range rides. I have added a Seat Concepts foam/cover (and a heated seat pad while I was at it!!), Woodcraft sliders, Yamaha heated grips, Yamaha luggage rack, Vagabond fender eliminator, and Puig Touring Windscreen. I've been riding in Michigan, where I am temporarily working. The riding here sucks (very flat, lots of traffic, terrible roads.....) I rode to Georgia to a buddy's cabin for a weekend of riding the twistys-this was AWESOME on the Yamaha!!!! I recently rode it down to Florida, where I live and where it will spend the winter. Here's the part where I complain about the range between fill-ups... I am planning a track day at Jennings GP in north Florida so I can get to know the bike that much better. Thanks!
