Ive been reading through the threads for a couple of months and finally decided to create an accout.
Currently the MT-10 is in winter storage being polished and modified for the next season.
Mods thus far:
OEM: Heated grips Windshield Radiator guard Oil cooler guard Licenceplate holder
Other: Rear indicators (yamahas extremely bright LED arrow looking ones) SW-motech tankbag, the small one.
More mods to come, mostly for practicality and looks, the MT-10s engine is plenty beast enough for me as stock. Might look into a new shock and stiffer fork springs if i can get myself to pay the price.

Hello Finland says the Swede in Denmark.. now when you’re here I won’t complain anymore about the long winter.. Yamaha arrow looking indicators ? Got a picture of those Rukka goretex gear makes the season some 1-2 months longer Pricey, but man do i love that gear. Used the jacket almost daily in all types of weather this season and it still looks brand new. A little bit hot in the summer though Not sure if "arrow" is the right word for it. They look more like < and > symbols. Bright as hell, had them on the FZ-07 before, first thing to order for my 10. I dont have pictures at the moment but Ill make sure to send some when I take a visit to the garage tomorrow. Nice to see someone else on here going through those annual ~5-6 months of bike-less depression. Hang in there brother.

Got a picture of those Here you go, a bit late but finally made it to the garage The camera makes them to look less bright than they really are. In reality they are close to eyepiercing bright, especially at night. The licencplate holders light is very visible too.

Hmmm smaller and better looking than stock.. thanks for the picture.. Where in Finland (southern I hope for your sake).. How are the biker roads there, I’ve never been outside Helsinki when there.. Speeding fines as in Sweden or as in Norway (you don’t speed in Norway unless you’re filthy rich)..

My main problem with the stock blinkers was that they are literally taped on. I accidentally kicked the left blinker off when getting off the bike (i assume) and it was literally just taped on (unless the dealer concealed it, it was on a season-rent for 8k kilometers before i bought it). Eventually the wires wore out and it fell off completely. Im from southern Finland, im back and fourth between Helsinki and Turku. One nice riding road in the Helsinki area is "Porkkalantie" some 45 minutes from Helsinki. Another that i havent ridden on yet, but is said to be the best in Finland, is "Bromarvvägen". As you hear by the name in that area Swedish is the main language so that would work out perfectly for you. You can stay in Hangö, its a really cozy summer city by the sea. Just avoid going there during Hangö Regattan if you are overprotective of your bike like i am When it comes to fines, <15 km/h over is 140€ outside of cities and 170€ inside, 15-20 km/h over is 200€ and over 20km/h over is based on your income. 30 km/h over is a suspended license and lots of fines. 20-29 km/h over, if you make 3000€ a month it would be 450-800€ and at 30-50 km/h its 720€-1500€. Also, avoid drinking beers. The limit is a bit higher at 0,5‰, out over that is 2250€ with a 3000€ salary. If you earn double, all those numbers (20 and above) also get doubled. So it doesnt really matter how rich you are, just be careful with cops. They tend to like the mentioned roads to take it a bit easy. In my experience, there isnt that many police officers on patrol, but i have seen a lot of unmarked cars so it doesnt pay off to rip it unless there is no traffic around whatsoever. That being said, ive never gotten a ticket or even pulled over for speeding so you eating beans for the rest of the month isnt set in stone. Fun fact: Finland is home of one of the most expensive traffic ticket ever given in the world, 100.000€ for 28 km/h over to an Executive at Nokia, ironically on his Harley Davidson.

The lakes may be beautiful but they are also massive mosquito breeding grounds. On a positive note, we have no tolls whatsoever.

Sounds like I have to come (we got plenty of mosquitoes in Sweden too).. yes I remember that speeding ticket, but I think he could afford it.. Denmark is also expensive but not that expensive... German speed tickets 10 km - 10 E, 20 km = 20 E 30 km = 30 E, 40-50 km = 80 E , and the allowed speed on normal outside cities is 100km/h 😁

The cops caught him and he got off with a 50€ fine. Heard that some kid my friend knows did the same over here (except he also rode on walkways and backyards) and he had to go to court, lost his license for a year and had to pay 60 days of income. Luckily since he was only a kid without an income, the mimum of 6€ a day was counted.
