Apologies for the clickbait headline and I considered posting this in the videos forum, but this topic has been so widely discussed that I thought it would fit in here:
Summary: They broke in two engines -- one by the manual and one by the 'motoman method' and found no discernible mechanical differences.
Not all that surprising, but additional info on a hotly debated issue on forums across the globe.

If you'd have searched the last one you'd have found the same video HereHaha, I'm sure a mod can combine the threads or something?

Luckily, this is one of the more "mature" forums that I’ve seen, where (for the most part) people don’t get stuck thinking that their way is the only way and everyone else is wrong. For the most part.
I have appreciated that about this place.

Agreed!
As far as the post and combining threads, I'm going to leave them separate unless Cruizin feels different, he can combine them. Although the other thread covers this topic and the video, it's not like we have a ton of traffic going through the forum and a friendly debate concerning the topics covered in the video could be considered eligible for it's own thread. Let's just keep the topic non-hostile though. Haha

I should have checked the other topic as I'd seen it before and I should have known this would be posted there, but i think i saw an oil discussion when i clicked new posts last time I saw it and left immediately. Hat tip to exuptoy, heath, and whoever else found the video first.
Unfortunately, this isn’t exactly statistically significant as a truly robust study would have involved an analysis of 15-30 randomly selected engines grouped by engine size and selected across different manufacturers, but I don’t think anyone is interested in spending money on hundreds of engines and the requisite labor to evidence an intuitive conclusion. But if one were to rile up every forum for crowd funding...
I'm just glad someone finally did a comprehensive video on the subject that (hopefully) lays the debate to rest, and I think the conclusion they reached makes sense. The guys at MC Garage, and specifically Ari, made extremely good videos and if their motor trend content is as good I may purchase a subscription.
