I just went over 2K. My daily commute is 25-30 miles each way, a few rides in the twisties and one track day.
I am so completely and utterly satisfied with this bike it's ridiculous.

I have right around 1,000 miles, but I have other bikes that demand my attention in the Summer (Sport-touring season).

Sold my track bike at the end of last season, but I also have a 2007 KTM 525EXC Dual Sport and an '09 KTM 250XC-W. When I saw your other bikes I immediately jumped on Craig's List and started looking at Sport tourers....again.

My buddies has 170,000 miles on it and still runs perfectly, valves were in spec last check!

Do it guys, lots of awesome roads out there - getting there on the -10 would require a lot of fuel stops! I routinely go 180+ miles on my XX and 14R between fuel stops.
They just aren't as nimble as the -10, but gawd the torque...
I just love ripping it out of the corners!

I was close to buying an FJR, test rode one at Laguna Seca WSBK along with the FZ-09. I liked it but for a daily commuter it was a bit heavy for my taste so I went with the FZ1 instead. Maybe I can find a high mileage one for cheap....

Bike has 57k miles but has been taken good care of. The owner would probably sell it for just south of $5k. He is in Burbank, though. I think you might be Nor Cal. I bought the bike from a guy that took excellent care of it and upgraded to a new model. I had an FJ09 at the time, and couldn't justify the second bike. I sold it and regretted it instantly and bought a brand new 2015 FJR. Bike has new Michelin tires, recently rebuilt front suspension, upgraded fuse panel for heated gear, upgraded CCT, aftermarket trunk, and a few different windscreens. Let me know if you want his number. Guy had it for sale for a bit but his posting is down now as he's been busy with work.

Thanks for the offer though.

I had 9500 miles on the FJ09 when I traded it one year to the day after purchase (May 16). I'm tracking a little ahead of that pace with about 4500 on the FJR since trade day. I really could use to come up with a spare $13k for an FZ10.

Just got to 1400 klms. Love the cruise control, just set it and go. You can sit on the bike and steer with you body, easy. Just getting used to staying calm, foot over the rear brake, 1st gear wheelstand, stay calm, ride it out, second gear wheelstand, stay calm, ride it out, third gear, wheelstand, Feck, staying calm, Geez this thing is fast and feels fecking sensational. This is a poor man's Harley I don't have to modify, to much.
